I would like to think that by now I know what it takes to become successful in sales, so here at Longwater Construction Supplies we will never forget the importance of our customers nor the levels of stock and service they demand of us. I’m proud to be the leader of such a strong, dynamic and growing business with fantastic people around me who share the same philosophies. As an Independent, family owned company we want to work still even harder than our competitors to create longstanding customer relationships, understand what they do, how they do it and to meet their expectations of us. When I find time to “play hard” I love big game fishing, shooting, watching the rugby and eating out as much as I can.
My role as Commercial Director is to oversee the sales and operations of our three branches, based in Norwich, Sleaford and Thaxted, Essex. I lead the commercial strategy for the business whilst also ensuring that we deliver the best possible customer experience. I work with a great team and am very proud to be part of the Longwater family. Out of work I enjoy watching football and spending as much time as I can with my friends and family.
After 9 years now with Longwater I am probably regarded as part of the furniture. My main role is to oversee the accounts team and ensure the company strategic financial targets are achieved. Finance has been my bread and butter for over 30 years, with experience in professional practice, industries such as roofing supply, oil & gas and automobile engineering. When not at work I enjoy going to the gym, walking my two dogs, watching sport (especially F1) and spending quality time with friends and family.
My role entails developing new business and managing the sales for Longwater. Heading into my 9th year at Longwater I have enjoyed being a key influence in the company’s success, witnessing the growth of the business and individuals. A significant factor within my role is to ensure Longwater continues to operate and delivers a high level of service to both our customer and consumers.
I have a very good knowledge and understanding of all building materials and have been with Longwater for over two years but in the industry for eleven. I love sausages and Sambuca! My hobbies are skiing, snooker and most recently trying to hit a golf ball!! I enjoy a day out at the football watching the Canaries with friends having the odd pint or two!
My title is Operations Manager and my role is to manage activities and processes involved in the efficient and effective operations of the business. Developing and improving operational systems, processes and best practice. These areas are focussed around Health and Safety, Fleet, plant and Machinery, Warehouse operations, Facilities management, ERP operations, and the control of suppliers and customers within all sites of the business. I have been in the construction industry for the last 37 years and have held a range of positions within sales, management, operations and compliance. When not working I spend time with my dogs out in the countryside and I also have a love of sailing, having owned many racing sailing dinghy’s over the years.
! have been with the company since January 2021 but have over 18 year’s experience in merchanting. My role within Longwater is to expand our branch network across the south east, day to day I am involved with projects to improve our current services as well as open new branches. In my spare time I like to play cricket, go to the gym.
I have been employed at Longwater Construction Supplies for 11years where my role is Business Development Manager, developing business to all sectors of the industry including Civils, Groundworkers, and Building Contractors. I have been associated within the industry for 27 years, which in this time as helped me understand and identify our customer’s requirements. My hobbies include watching Ipswich much to my sins!! And playing Golf (when I get time)…
I’ve been part of the Longwater team since its inception eleven years ago. With over twenty six years experience within the building industry this gives me a very broad overall knowledge but I specialise in all civil’s products. In my spare time I enjoy football and the occasional round of golf. I am married with two young girls.
I specialise in Building and Landscaping products and have worked for Longwater for five and half years now; I love it! I have over eight years of experience working within the building industry. I spend my spare time watching football and films, badly playing golf, snooker, and gaming but most of all I enjoy days out with my family and friends and going out for meals.
My main role at Longwater is working on the building team which focuses on all aspects of a house build. I have now been with the company 3 years but in the industry for 8. My main hobbies are playing football and golf, I also enjoying going to watch football too. I also enjoy spending time with my 4 beautiful children and partner Victoria. My role here is Reinforcement and Accessories Manager. I am quite new to the merchant sector at Longwater but I have over five years’ experience supporting groundworker’s nationally. I’m already somehow classed as the “posh boy” of the office as I love ‘luxury’ hot chocolate. My free time is spent eating a lot of food and watching films, although I’m a keen golfer and formula 1 enthusiast as well.
My job at Longwater is working on the sales office. I came to Longwater about a year ago straight from school as a trainee, so this is my first real job but I love it here and am hoping to progress in my career. I am only seventeen and very keen to learn about this industry. In my spare time I enjoy going out to see my friends and spending time with my family.
I am the Transport Manager here at Longwater, Norwich. I’ve been with Longwater for almost 5 years but part of the merchant sector for twenty one, so I like to think I have a strong knowledge of most products and their uses. My spare time is spent with my family although I still attempt to play a bit of football.
I’ve been working here for four years and keep learning as much as I can about this wonderful trade. In my spare time I enjoy playing Rugby in the winter and Cricket in the summer, with a few “light refreshments” along the way, come win or lose. I also enjoy a good movie night along with eating lots of food!
I’ve been at Longwater for 3 years now. Most customers know you by nick name (google should you need to know), which is friendly start to the day. Hopefully in the coming months I shall be able to see motoring cycle racing live and catch up with our son more often, which should keep the wife happy!
My part in the business is to produce content for our social media accounts, organise customer events, and design all elements of branding, from merchandise to publications. I recently graduated with a degree in graphic design. In my spare time I like to go the gym, go out with my friends and shoot and fish with my dad.

I have been in the Construction Industry for many years and have a sound knowledge of all building materials used. I have worked in Manufacturing (Bricks & Plastic Sales) and have been in the Merchanting business for the last 9 years, my forte being in bricks. I love all sports but my main interests are Football, Golf, F1 and Cricket. I enjoy playing Golf whenever possible and going Hiking with my Wife. Music of all types is a big passion too. When I’m away from work I like to spend time with my Wife, Family and Charlie, my Sprollie Dog.
I have been in the Builders Merchants Industry for the last 8 years working my way up to my current position of Assistant Branch Manager at Sleaford. I have recently completed a diploma in management and take great pride in passing it with a distinction. I studied Horticulture at college and have always been a keen gardener, I love getting stuck into any landscaping project whatever the size and would say this is the area that I’m most passionate about. In my free time I love listening to music and will attend festivals and gigs whenever I can, I also enjoy playing football for my local ladies team.
I joined Longwater Construction Supplies in September 2020 as Business Development Manager. My job is to identify sales leads, pitch goods and services to new customers and maintain a good working relationship with new and existing accounts and develop new business to all sectors of the building industry. I have over 20 years’ experience in the industry starting off in the yard working my way up to Assistant Manager, Account Manager and Branch Manager roles in Building and Electrical Wholesale. All of my spare time is spent with my wife and two young children, we enjoy camping and are national trust members and we love to take advantage of this.

I’ve worked at Longwater for just over a year but have been within the Industry for over 25years as a Customer and a Salesperson which I believe gives me knowledge and good understanding of both Products and Processes. My free time is normally spent with my Gorgeous Daughter Mia going from Park to Park, I can also occasionally be found playing Veterans Football for Lowestoft or watching Liverpool on TV.
I’ve been working for Longwater for 6 months. I’m new to the industry and this is a career direction change, as previously I had been working in the motor trade for most of my life. One skill that can be transferred to this role is my years of giving a high level of customer service so I look forward to helping you with your enquiry. My spare time is taken up by my 5 year old son Vinny and wife Kerry but I always find time to follow my team Tottenham hotspurs, and their results.
