My role as Commercial Director is to oversee the sales and operations of our three branches, based in Norwich, Sleaford and Thaxted, Essex. I lead the commercial strategy for the business whilst also ensuring that we deliver the best possible customer experience. I work with a great team and am very proud to be part of the Longwater family. Out of work I enjoy watching football and spending as much time as I can with my friends and family.

After 9 years now with Longwater I am probably regarded as part of the furniture. My main role is to oversee the accounts team and ensure the company strategic financial targets are achieved. Finance has been my bread and butter for over 30 years, with experience in professional practice, industries such as roofing supply, oil & gas and automobile engineering. When not at work I enjoy going to the gym, walking my two dogs, watching sport (especially F1) and spending quality time with friends and family.  

My role entails Key Account Management of existing accounts, developing new business and managing the sales teams here at Longwater. I have a wide range of knowledge in all building materials. I’ve been at Longwater for over seven years and in the industry for twelve. In my spare time I enjoy playing rugby and golf badly and have recently started Clay shooting. I love spending time with my wife Amanda and Mason my son.

I have a very good knowledge and understanding of all building materials and have been with Longwater for over two years but in the industry for eleven. I love sausages and Sambuca! My hobbies are skiing, snooker and most recently trying to hit a golf ball!! I enjoy a day out at the football watching the Canaries with friends having the odd pint or two!

My title is Operations Manager and my role is to manage activities and processes involved in the efficient and effective operations of the business. Developing and improving operational systems, processes and best practice. These areas are focussed around Health and Safety, Fleet, plant and Machinery, Warehouse operations, Facilities management, ERP operations, and the control of suppliers and customers within all sites of the business. I have been in the construction industry for the last 37 years and have held a range of positions within sales, management, operations and compliance. When not working I spend time with my dogs out in the countryside and I also have a love of sailing, having owned many racing sailing dinghy’s over the years.  

I have been employed at Longwater Construction Supplies for 11years where my role is Business Development Manager, developing business to all sectors of the industry including Civils, Groundworkers, and Building Contractors. I have been associated within the industry for 27 years, which in this time as helped me understand and identify our customer’s requirements. My hobbies include watching Ipswich much to my sins!! And playing Golf (when I get time)…

I have been part of the team at Longwater Construction Supplies for nine years now. I started working in the yard in its early development stage and then moved into the shop and trade counter. I then moved to the office a year after that and I now currently work in the Civils and Groundworks team. It's fantastic to see the company grow into what it is today and to be a part of it. My hobbies are clay shooting, fishing and golf.

I've been part of the Longwater team since its inception eleven years ago. With over twenty six years experience within the building industry this gives me a very broad overall knowledge but I specialise in all civil's products. In my spare time I enjoy football and the occasional round of golf. I am married with two young girls.

I specialise in Building and Landscaping products and have worked for Longwater for four years now; I love it! I have over seven years of experience working within the building industry both in merchants and formerly as a Painter & Decorator. I spend my spare time playing football, golf and I enjoy skiing plus days out with my family.

I am part of the internal sales building team here at Longwater and have been with the company for over 2 years now but working in the building industry for the last seven. My hobbies are playing football and the occasional round of golf. I also enjoy spending time with my 4 wonderful children and partner Victoria.

I’ve been here for nearly 8 years now and in the industry for about 18 years. Landscaping is my thing now! I enjoy spending time with my partner Anna, and Joe and Ollie, my two lads. I love my football (more watching than playing nowadays) Absolutely love music, and when I’m at home I love watching a good film or reading a book.

I look after roof tiles and all of the associated roofing ancillaries such as: Rooflights, Cembrit Plank Cladding systems and Rainwater goods.  I’ve been at Longwater since 2017 but in the roofing industry for over thirty years.

My role here is Reinforcement and Accessories Manager. I am quite new to the merchant sector at Longwater but I have over five years’ experience supporting groundworker's nationally. I’m already somehow classed as the "posh boy" of the office as I love 'luxury' hot chocolate. My free time is spent eating a lot of food and watching films, although I’m a keen golfer and formula 1 enthusiast as well.  

My job at Longwater is working on the sales office. I came to Longwater about a year ago straight from school as a trainee, so this is my first real job but I love it here and am hoping to progress in my career. I am only seventeen and very keen to learn about this industry. In my spare time I enjoy going out to see my friends and spending time with my family.

I am the Transport Manager here at Longwater, Norwich. I’ve been with Longwater for almost 5 years but part of the merchant sector for twenty one, so I like to think I have a strong knowledge of most products and their uses. My spare time is spent with my family although I still attempt to play a bit of football.

I’ve been working here for four years and keep learning as much as I can about this wonderful trade. In my spare time I enjoy playing Rugby in the winter and Cricket in the summer, with a few "light refreshments" along the way, come win or lose. I also enjoy a good movie night along with eating lots of food!

I work on the sales counter and have been in and around merchants for more years than I care to remember! I also specialise in useless information, hence my (Google) nick name! I've been married to my long suffering wife for 29 years and we have one son. I enjoy following motorcycle racing and like to travel to various parts to watch it.

My part in the business is to produce content for our social media accounts, organise customer events, and design all elements of branding, from merchandise to publications. I recently graduated with a degree in graphic design. In my spare time I like to go the gym, go out with my friends and shoot and fish with my dad.

Having started in January 2021 I am a newbie to Longwater, I am the financial controller and my role is to oversee accounting activities within the department and carry out financial analysis. I have worked for various companies in and around Norfolk mainly within manufacturing. In my spare time I enjoy going out and spending time with my wife Gemma and daughter Zara.
